MURFREESBORO (AP) — A team from Middle Tennessee State University has won the Mid-South Mock Trial Invitational Tournament at the school.

The weekend competition featured 48 teams from 24 colleges and universities in 11 states. The tourney has been held annually at MTSU for 20 years.

For the first time, the tourney offered continuing legal education credit for Tennessee attorneys who served as coaches and judges.

Teams will go on to regional and national competition from February through April.
