NASHVILLE (AP) - Tennesseans can suggest changes to the districts that make up the General Assembly and the state's congressional seats, but public interest has been limited.

The once-every-decade redistricting process is under way and Tennesseans can submit their own maps using census data and maps available on the General Assembly website.

But despite the request for input, WPLN-FM reports that with the deadline approaching, no one has turned in a map of their own (http://bit.ly/rwAI5I). Plans must be submitted to the Office of Legal Services for review by Nov. 1.

Each plan must include all 99 seats in the state House, 33 in the state Senate and the state's nine congressional districts. The plans must also include a breakdown of the racial makeup in each district.
