NASHVILLE (AP) — A Nashville hotel has canceled a contract for an anti-Sharia conference, citing business concerns.

The Tennessee Freedom Coalition was one of the sponsors of the planned Nov. 11 meeting at the Hutton Hotel. Lou Ann Zelenick of the coalition said the cancellation censors her group for its opposition to radical Islam adherents and shows Shariah law is a threat to free speech, according to The Tennessean.

Hotel owner senior vice president Steve Eckley said the company wasn't aware of the contents of the program until recently and feared protests and disruption of business. Eckley said the hotel had received complaints about the conference from clients and the public.

Among speakers scheduled were Atlas Shrugged blogger Pamela Geller and Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy.
