NASHVILLE (AP) — State and federal officials have inspected trucks and buses across the state, looking for security threats.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security said Tuesday's operation was the first of its kind. No arrests were reported.

Over four hours, agents conducted the operation at seven sites, including the Knoxville Greyhound station and the hub for city buses in Nashville.

Officials said the operation was not based on any specific threat.

Locations included the scale complex on Interstate 65 just south of the Kentucky border, both scale complexes on I-24 near Manchester, both scale complexes on I-40 in Knoxville near I-75, both scale complexes on I-81 near Greeneville and both scale complexes on I-40 near Brownsville.

Officials said the inspections provided a visible deterrence and security presence.
