MURFREESBORO (AP) — An annual conference being held today and sponsored by Middle Tennessee State University is designed to promote free enterprise.

The 19th annual MTSU Economic Outlook Conference will feature Mark A. Emkes, retired CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas Inc. and current state commissioner of finance and administration, as keynote speaker.

The conference is targeted at bankers, business owners and managers, community officials and leaders, business and economics faculty and students.

During the gathering, officials will present the Jennings A. Jones Champion of Free Enterprise Award.
