Country Music Association expands education work
NASHVILLE (AP) — The Country Music Association has expanded its education initiative to Lipscomb University in Nashville and Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
The program, CMA EDU, is designed to engage undergraduate college students with a hands-on chance to enhance their skills in marketing and promotion.
The program was initiated in February at Belmont University in Nashville; it now has an enrollment of more than 250.
Students are likely to gain networking opportunities while promoting the country music genre.
The association, country music's trade group, is based in Nashville.
