CMA Awards to stay in Nashville through 2013
NASHVILLE (AP) — The Country Music Association will keep its annual awards show in Nashville through 2013 in a three-year agreement with Bridgestone Arena.
The 45th annual CMA Awards will be aired live Nov. 9 on ABC with hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
In announcing the deal Wednesday, CMA CEO Steve Moore said in a news release that attendees enjoy the arena's downtown location with access to clubs and hotels. Bridgestone Arena's Vice President of Booking Brock Jones said the annual awards show is a first-class way to showcase the venue, the music industry and Nashville.
The venue has been hosting the show since 2006 and is also the home of the NHL's Nashville Predators.
