Public gets first look at new Belmont concert hall today
NASHVILLE (AP) — The public gets a first look, and listen, today at Belmont University's newly renovated concert hall in Nashville.
The venue is at the university-owned Belmont Heights Baptist Church sanctuary, which is in the midst of a $7 million construction project.
It will ultimately provide the nearby campus a new, large concert venue suitable for acoustic performances. Construction began this summer and is projected to be done next May.
Dr. Bob Marler, a professor of music at Belmont, will do the first public performance Monday at the venue.
