Print | Front Page | Email this story

NASHVILLE (AP) - Occidental Chemical Corp. of Dallas has announced plans to build a plant in Humphreys County, Tenn., that will create approximately 85 full-time jobs.

The company said Thursday the membrane cell chlor-alkali plant will be next to DuPont's New Johnsonville titanium dioxide plant, maximizing the companies' ability to share resources and services.

Occidental, a subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum, said construction is expected to create an estimated 250-300 jobs over 12 to 18 months.
