Nissan donates 5 new vehicles to Nashville Zoo
NASHVILLE. (AP) — Nissan Americas has donated four new Titan trucks and one Armada to the Nashville Zoo, continuing a company tradition.
Since 2004, Nissan has donated 10 vehicles to the zoo.
Zoo officials said Tuesday they rely heavily on trucks to move equipment, supplies and materials across the 188-acre property and around Middle Tennessee. They will use the Armada for an outreach program taking animals and educational programming to schools, day cares, hospitals and other organizations.
Nissan Americas is based in nearby Franklin and its manufacturing plant is in Smyrna.
