Marathon ready for TV debut with 'American Pickers' store
By Hollie Deese
Marathon Village’s highest-profile tenant to date, Antique Archaeology, is set to open July 2.
The store, owned by Mike Wolfe of the TV show American Pickers, will offer merchandise for fans, as well as some choice picks featured on the show. It is the first store outside their base of LeClaire, Iowa.
“There were several locations that they looked at and they decided on Marathon Village because Barry Walker’s whole vision of the space matched up perfectly with what Mike is all about,” says Denise Gallagher, manager of the Nashville store.
“Mike and Barry really hit it off because they’re both the kind of person who is really willing to go off and take risks and make things happen. It is really a great relationship we have going.”
