Scarritt-Bennett Table Talk
The Women’s Table, Scarritt-Bennett’s women’s empowerment initiative, will host a Table Talk for Women, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in Scarritt-Bennett Center’s Dialogue House. The Andersonville Trial
Lamplighter’s Theatre Company and The Battle of Nashville Preservation Society, Inc. presents “The Andersonville Trial” in the sanctuary at the historic Downtown Presbyterian Church, 154 5th Avenue North, as part of the Sesquicentennial Commemoration of the American Civil War. The play is based on the actual trial of Captain Henry Wirz, commander of the Confederate prison camp at Andersonville, Ga. Artist members of The Chestnut Group are painting historic sites in “plein air” with significance to the Battle of Franklin, including Carnton Plantation, The Carter House, the Confederate Cemetery, Lotz House, Homestead Manor, Harrison House and the Confederate Monument in Downtown Franklin’s Square.
