‘ArtSparks’ Open House
Try drawing, cake decorating, watercolor cards, knitting, flower arranging and more. Instructors will be on hand at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with plenty of free “make it, take-it” projects to choose from, plus demonstrations of acrylic, oil and watercolor painting techniques. Interfaith Harmony Breakfast
Wisdom House, the new interfaith educational center of Scarritt-Bennett, will host the Tennessee State Interfaith Harmony Breakfast, 8- 10 a.m., at Bennett Hall 1008 19th Ave. S., Nashville. Immediately after the breakfast, Scarritt-Bennett will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Wisdom House. Rabbi Rami Shapiro, director of Scarritt-Bennett’s Wisdom House and co-founder of World Interfaith Harmony Breakfasts, will speak to breakfast attendees about “The Real Promise of Interfaith Dialogue.” Information: www.scarrittbennett.org.

Wisdom of Rumi Retreat
Scarritt-Bennett Center’s Wisdom House will present Embracing the Divine Through the Wisdom of Rumi, a weekend retreat designed for people who want to learn more about Rumi and Sufism.
