Business Studio: Franchise Tax Refund Workshop. The TN state legislature has passed a bill that repeals the property tax portion of the franchise tax. Any business that has paid this tax (tax schedule G) on a return filed between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2023 qualifies for a potential refund. The Tennessee Department of Revenue will be sending a letter to those who qualify, but they are encouraging businesses to review their records or consult a tax professional to see if they are eligible. This workshop will feature a representative, Courtney Swim, chief of staff at the Department of Revenue, to speak about the change. Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, 500 11th Ave. N. Ste. 200 (Boyle Conference Room). Wednesday, 8-9:30 a.m. Please register to attend. Free to attend. Information
