Charles Hawkins names 2 new shareholders

The Charles Hawkins Co., one of Nashville’s premier commercial real estate services companies, has selected first vice presidents Clancy Hoban and Jonathan Douillard as shareholders in the company.

Hoban’s experience as a Nashville commercial real estate agent dates to 2000. Specializing in the sale and leasing of office and industrial properties, Hoban has been with Charles Hawkins Co. since 2001.

Douillard began his career in commercial real estate as an intern with the Charles Hawkins Co. in 2004. After a stint playing professional baseball in the Chicago Cubs organization, he began his brokerage career in 2006. He focuses on the leasing, selling and buying of industrial properties within the broader Nashville area.

Affinity Technology Partners welcomes Bashour as vCIO

James Bashour has joined Affinity Technology Partners as vCIO. Bashour was previously IT director at Naxos Music Group, where he was responsible for all IT functions in the United States, data warehouse systems, digital music distribution, hiring, mentoring, budgeting, spending and leading IT staff and contractors. He spent nine years as Global IT director of Quarto Publishing.

Bashour holds an associate degree in commercial photography and digital media from the Colorado Institute of Art. He has advanced professional training in application development, computer science, project management and more.

Nashville Symphony taps Gibbs as communications VP

The Nashville Symphony has appointed Sherry Gibbs as the organization’s new vice president of communications.

Gibbs comes to the Nashville Symphony with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications. She has served in executive and senior leadership positions with Nashville General Hospital, GEHA, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Children’s Mercy, Ceasars Entertainment and Prairie Dog, a health care marketing agency.

Gibbs will be responsible for creating local and national visibility for the Nashville Symphony, supporting the institution’s branding, both earned and contributed revenue goals, and audience development efforts, along with curating communications across all digital, published and in-person platforms to help tell the Nashville Symphony’s story.

Gibbs earned the Bronze Quill and Silver PRISM awards from the Kansas City International Association of Business Communicators and the Greater Kansas City Public Relations Society of America for outstanding public relations and strategic communications.

She earned a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in marketing from Duke University.

Nashville Cable names ATHENA Awards picks

Cynthia Whitfield-Story has been named the winner for the traditional category and Tamara L. Bates was named as the winner for the young professional category of the 34th annual ATHENA Awards.

Whitfield-Story, nominated by the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee, is the CEO for INSPIRE1, LLC Consulting. She has been dedicated to coaching, supporting and mentoring leaders for more than 30 years.

Bates was nominated by the Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Bates is the director of community engagement for the Tennessee Democratic Party. Since graduating, Bates has used her platform to advocate for civic engagement and political awareness in communities locally and abroad.

Clarus expands team with regional VP of sales

Nashville-based Clarus, a patient call management platform that serves the physician office segment of the health care industry, has added Stephanie Cohen as regional vice president of sales.

Cohen joins Clarus with more than 13 years of health care sales experience, both as a leader and individual contributor. She worked for an appointment reminder software company and in digital patient education. She will be responsible for sales in the Northeast region for Clarus.

Cohen joins Clarus from Patient Point and previously worked with Health Monitor Network, heading a team of 11 salespeople. She earned a degree in business administration from the Goizeuta School of Business at Emory University and her MMR from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia.

Cumulus picks Daily for brand, content

Cumulus Media has appointed country radio programming professional Travis Daily as brand and content manager for its two country stations in Nashville. Daily takes the programming reins for 103.3 Country/WKDF-FM and 95.5 Nash Icon/WSM-FM after two years as program director for Cumulus Media’s 93.3 The Bull/KUBL-FM in Salt Lake City.

Daily was previously operations manager and program director for Beasley Media Group’s 99.5 WQYK-FM in Tampa and spent 17 years at Clear Channel Communications/iHeartRadio, where he was senior vice president/programming for the company’s Sarasota and Tampa clusters. He was also operations manager/program director/morning host at Y96.9/KCCY-FM in Pueblo/Colorado Springs, Colorado, and launched US 103.5/WFUS-FM in Tampa.

Harris joins Oversite’s development team

Oversite, an owner’s representative company located in Frankin that oversees construction projects on behalf of their clients, has added Paula Harris to its business development team in Middle Tennessee.

With more than 40 years of management and business development experience, Harris joins Oversite from her recent role as Principal at Thrivence, LLC, a management consulting firm under Barge Design Solutions. She previously served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Barge Design Solutions, supporting client experience initiatives with a focus on civic engagement, client experience, business development and marketing.

Harris is a graduate of various leadership programs, including Transit Citizen Leadership Academy, Leadership Middle Tennessee, Leadership Rutherford and Leadership Franklin, for which she has served as the executive director for the last 10 years.

Allen makes Forbes list for fifth time
