Middle Tennessee Christmas Parades
Christmas parades begin across Middle Tennessee this weekend and continue the next weekend.
Saturday, Dec. 2
Columbia: 6 p.m., beginning at the Trotwood/W. 7th Street split and marching eastward into downtown Columbia. Christmas tree lighting at approximately 7:15 p.m. Information
Franklin: Parade starts at 2 p.m. Jim Warren Park, travels down Highway 96 West to Third Avenue, goes around the square and finishes at Main and 11th. Information
Goodlettsville: 4 p.m., beginning at Goodlettsville Plaza and finishing at Peay Park. Information
LaVergne: 6 p.m. Parade participants will leave La Vergne’s City Hall, heading east in the westbound lanes of Murfreesboro Road and will end at Veterans Memorial Park. Information
Portland: 3 p.m., starting at Freedom Drive and traveling south on Highway 109 to Portland East Middle School. Information
Watertown: 4 p.m., from Round Lick Baptist Church to the end of East Main Street. Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the square next to the gazebo, 5:30 p.m., with hot cocoa and caroling. Information
Sunday, Dec. 3
Hendersonville: 2 p.m., Memorial Park down Main Street. Christmas tree lighting at 4:30 p.m. Information
Lebanon: 2 p.m., beginning at the former site of Lebanon High School and moving down Park Avenue to East Main Street and then around the Lebanon Public Square before exiting on West Main Street. Information
Smyrna: 2 p.m., northbound on Lowry Street toward Sam Ridley Parkway. Information
Saturday, Dec. 9
Gallatin: Noon, Hartsville Pike down Main Street and Broadway to Gallatin High School. Information
Mt. Juliet: 11 a.m., Mt. Juliet League off Lebanon Rd. to East Division Street off N. Mt. Juliet Rd. Information
Leiper’s Fork: 2 p.m. Information
Sunday, Dec. 10
Murfreesboro: 2 p.m., Middle Tennessee Boulevard/East Main Street intersection toward The Square, ending on West Main and Walnut streets. Information
