Lanquist takes office as TBA president-elect
Nashville attorney Edward D. Lanquist Jr. is now president-elect of the Tennessee Bar Association. Lanquist will advance to the presidency in 2024.
Lanquist has been active in the TBA and other legal and community organizations for many years, serving most recently as the TBA’s general counsel. He is on the faculty of the Nashville School of Law, is a past president of the Nashville Bar Association and past president of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Association. He holds engineering and law degrees from the University of Tennessee is a shareholder in the Nashville office of Baker Donelson.
Taking office along with Lanquist were James “Jim” Barry of Germantown (president) and Heidi Barcus of Lewis Thomason in Knoxville (vice president).
New leaders join TennGreen conservancy
TennGreen Land Conservancy, a Tennessee environmental nonprofit, has added Andrew Rueff and Christopher C. Haigler to its board of directors.
Rueff is a global businessman and former Nashville resident who serves as executive chairman of SphereCommerce, LLC, a payment and software experience platform, and TeamSnap, a sports management platform. He has 25 years of experience in the legal, banking and financial technology sectors. Rueff is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He also holds an MBA from UT and a law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
Haigler’s appointment follows a year of service on TennGreen’s Board as a Young Leaders Council program intern. He is a trust officer with Southeastern Trust Company, where he manages and administers trust and fiduciary relationships in a multifamily office setting.
TennGreen Land Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit and the oldest accredited statewide land conservancy in Tennessee. TennGreen’s mission is to conserve land where people and nature can thrive. Through sound science and partnerships, TennGreen identifies and conserves land across Tennessee for wildlife corridors, critical habitat and public benefit. TennGreen protects, cares for and connects people with Tennessee’s natural world by providing meaningful outdoor experiences, establishing conservation easements, supporting restoration efforts, and acquiring (or assisting in the acquisition of) privately held land.
Airport Authority expands leadership team with 3
Nashville International Airport and John C. Tune Airport has three new members on its leadership.
Chris Davidson is now assistant vice president of John C. Tune Airport, Randy Dorsten joins is assistant vice president of human resources and Jeffrey Wooden is director of emergency management.
Davidson returns to Nashville from Salisbury Regional Airport in Maryland, where he served as the deputy director. Before that, he was the airport manager at Music City executive airport in Gallatin.
Davidson is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a commercial-rated pilot for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and has earned his Certified Member accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives.
Randy Dorsten comes to MNAA from OneGI, where he served as chief human resources officer. He previously was the assistant vice president of HR strategy and planning at HCA. He holds a degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Additionally, he is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Wooden previously served as a senior manager of aviation security with Amazon at its Air Gateway Hub in Wilmington, Ohio. Before that, he was employed with the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security and the Central Intelligence Agency. While assigned to the Department of Defense, Jeffrey served as a senior intelligence officer, chief of strategic planning, senior crisis manager and director of operations, Homeland Defense and Security. He holds a degree in business administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in international affairs from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the United States Air War College. He earned his doctorate in public policy and administration in 2014 from Walden University.
Thomas & Hutton adds Reed as designer
Katie Reed has joined Thomas & Hutton as a designer in its Nashville Civil Department.
Reed recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in civil engineering. She is a former T&H summer intern and continued to work at T&H throughout her senior year at Vanderbilt.
Reed is a civil designer specializing in site development, construction drawings and engineering design related to water, sewer, storm drainage infrastructure and permit applications for residential projects in Middle Tennessee.
