Kids Fishing Derby
Local youth ages 5 to 16 are invited to test their fishing skills, win awards and participate in our prize giveaway at this fun, free event. Gallatin Young Professionals Give Back Gallatin
Dust off your kayaks and paddle boards because this month GYP will be doing a stream cleanup in and around Nat Caldwell Park. 8 a.m.-noon., followed by a picnic lunch. Participants should indicate on the sign-up form if they don’t have a kayak or have more than one and are willing to share. 31E Nashville Pike, Gallatin. Information
Cornelia Fort Pickin’ Party
The monthly event will take place Cornelia Fort Airpark in East Nashville. Guests can expect stage performances by local artists, craft beer, family activities, food vendors and community pickin’. Musicians are encouraged to bring banjos, fiddles, guitars, dobros and mandolins for group pickin’ sessions. This event is open to all ages. Children 15 and younger do not require a ticket for entry with an adult ticket purchase. Tickets: $18-plus per person. 5:30 p.m. Performers for June 10: Boo Ray, Kristina Murray and Paige Rose. Additional dates are July 22 and Aug. 26. Cornelia Fort Airpark, 1199 Shadow Lane. All proceeds from the event series go toward revitalization projects at Shelby Park & Bottoms and Cornelia Fort Airpark. Information
