NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee State University and a new global campus based in Atlanta will work together with the Historically Black Colleges and Universities community to offer leadership and career development programming, the school said.

Tennessee State will focus on faculty at HBCUs and their communities while the Propel Center will mostly help students, the university said of the new partnership.

Tennessee State has been working with Apple for the last two years to launch and expand its initiative to bring coding and creativity experiences to all 100-plus HBCUs and their communities, the university said.

"This new partnership will strengthen that effort," Tennessee State President Glenda Glover said in a news release.

Propel Center was designed by Ed Farm, a nonprofit that works to advance education through technology, with Apple and Southern Co. utility as founding partners.
