NASHVILLE (AP) — The Titans Foundation has donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity as part of a work project taking place in Nashville this fall.

Former Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams started the Titans Foundation in 1999 with an initial gift. The foundation distributes funds to local charities on an ongoing basis.

Habitat for Humanity is conducting the 2019 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project on Oct. 6-11 in Nashville as part of the NFL's Huddle for 100 Project. To celebrate the NFL's 100th anniversary, the league is encouraging fans to donate 100 minutes of community service.

This marks the 36th year former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter are building homes with Habitat for Humanity. The Carters will help build 20 new homes in the north Nashville community of Park Preserve, a 42-acre neighborhood developed by Habitat for Humanity that will serve 175 families when complete.
