Governor-elect Bill Lee announces cabinet appointments
NASHVILLE (AP) — Governor-elect Bill Lee announced two cabinet appointments Thursday.
Maj. Gen. Jeff Holmes will lead the Department of Military.
He currently serves as the Deputy Commanding General of First Army and has previously served as the Deputy Adjutant General of the Tennessee National Guard.
Holmes has served multiple combat deployments. He has also served as deputy chief of engineers at the Pentagon.
Retired Lt. Col. Courtney Rogers will lead Tennessee's Veterans Services Department.
She currently serves as the director of recruiting and retention for the Tennessee State Guard.
In addition to her 28 years of service with the Air Force and Tennessee Air National Guard, Rogers served three terms as a state representative in the General Assembly.
