Interim UT president announces transparency initiative
KNOXVILLE (AP) — University of Tennessee Interim President Randy Boyd is rolling out an initiative aimed at providing the UT system with greater transparency and accountability.
According to a news release, the effort includes a website where the public can find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. That includes information on enrollment, student demographics, graduation rates and degrees granted, and research activity.
Boyd said in a news release that much of the information is already available online, but it will soon be in a central location at tennessee.edu/transparency .
The Transparent UT initiative will also include webcasting and archiving board of trustee committee meetings and faculty senate meetings.
A short-term Transparency Advisory Group will provide further input and guidance. It begins meeting in January.
