Summer of Street Food. A gathering of 15 to 20 local food trucks. This event will take place every other Thursday through August 21. Trucks will be parked on Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. Information: www.nashvillefoodtruckassociation.com.

Nashville Next Lounges

Learn more about and get involved in shaping the master plan for Nashville-Davidson County growth and development. NashvilleNext is a two-year process to update the city’s General Plan for the next 25 years, during which the county is expected to gain up to 200,000 new residents. Upcoming “lounges” include:

Madison Train Show

Visitors will experience operating model trains and have an opportunity to shop with train vendors. Other merchandise, exhibits, food and door prizes also will be featured. 3-6 p.m. City Road Chapel United Methodist Church, 701 S. Gallatin Rd., Madison. $7 for adults, $3 for children age 3-12, $1 for children 2 and younger.

SATURDAY, JULY 26

Folk’n Art Fest

A free, daylong festival celebrating local art, music and food. Headlining artists include the Banditos, Flea Market Hustlers and The Granny Whites. The event features more than 25 local and regional artists selling handmade works such as pottery and clay, fabric pieces, folk dolls, original paintings, jewelry, block prints, assemblage and more. 1-9 p.m., Mayday Brewery, 521 Old Salem Rd. Murfreesboro.

Eighth Annual Nashville Emerging Leader Awards

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville are proud to present the eighth annual Nashville Emerging Leader Awards. The NELAs recognize young professionals in 15 industry classifications who are excelling in their careers and making a difference in the community.
