History Unbound: Emancipation Day in Tennessee

Dr. Brandon R. Byrd, scholar, author and associate professor, will talk about emancipation in the Volunteer State specifically. The regional histories and variations of emancipation celebrations are worthy of reflections and celebration. A portion of all sales will support the Andrew Jackson Foundation’s mission to preserve the home of Andrew Jackson, create learning opportunities and inspire informed citizenship. Full Moon Pickin’ Party

This unique bluegrass music series is a Nashville tradition for 25-plus years, attracting bluegrass lovers from all around to hear music under the stars in Percy Warner Park.
