3rd annual Tennessee Bike Summit

Walk/Bike Nashville and Bike/Walk Tennessee host the event, which brings together policy makers, bike advocates, engineers, planners, designers and bike shop owners to work towards making Tennessee a more bike-friendly state. The schedule features two and a-half days of workshops and plenary sessions. Speakers include:

Wild West Comedy Festival

65th annual Franklin Rodeo

37th annual Bellevue Picnic

Middle Tennessee Geneological Society

Vintage Base Ball

Moss-Wright Park has been included in an expansion of the Tennessee Association of Vintage Base Ball. The home team is the Highland Rim Distillers, which will Franklin Farriers at 2:30 p.m., following a matchup of the Oak Hill Travellers and Phoenix of East Nashville at noon. The league promotes living history by bringing the 19th century to life through base ball events that use the rules, equipment, costumes, and culture of the 1860-1880’s. All games are free to attend and will be played in an open field near Mansker’s Station. Parking info: the best place to park for viewing the games will be along the road at the Mansker’s Station end of the park and in the middle of the park by the football fields. Annual Memorial Day Dash 5k

The Nashville City Cemetery Association’s annual Memorial Day Dash 5K run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. Race-day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. All proceeds from the NCCA/Nashville Striders-sponsored event will benefit the continuing restoration and preservation of Nashville City Cemetery. The race begins at Greer Stadium, 534 Chestnut Street, and runs through the stadium, around Fort Negley and the Adventure Science Center and ends in the City Cemetery.
