East Nashville Hope Exchange Wine Tasting

East Nashville Hope Exchange, a non-profit summer program that improves literacy and interpersonal skills of economically disadvantaged children of East Nashville, will host its 10th annual wine tasting and silent auction on at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 419 Woodland St., 6-9 p.m. Wines from around the world will be featured, and more than 100 silent auction items will be up for grabs. 13th Annual Red Shoe Party

Nashville Earth Day Festival 2012

The 11th annual Nashville Earth Day Festival will celebrate “Living Green and Healthy” while encouraging the community to take another step toward Mayor Karl Dean’s goal of making Nashville the greenest city in the Southeast. Neighborhood Shred Day

Local office records management company Richards & Richards, in conjunction with the Nashville Better Business Bureau, will host a free neighborhood shred day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 1741 Elm Hill Pike. The event will be open to individuals and small businesses, and attendees can bring an unlimited amount of documents to be securely destroyed. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips or binder clips.

Draw the Circle Wide

Scarritt-Bennett Center will host this conference to help Christian communities navigate the tensions of sexual orientation and gender identity. The goal is to promote honest communication among participating groups. The weekend will end with a performance of the one-man play, Transfigurations, by Peterson Toscano.
