Nashville General Hospital Community Town Hall Meetings

Dr. Joseph Webb, chief executive officer of Nashville General Hospital (NHG) is holding community town halls over the next few months as part of his strategic planning process for the city’s community hospital. Located on the Meharry Medical College campus, NGH serves all residents of Nashville and Davidson County. These community-focused events are open to the public and will allow residents to ask questions, share concerns and talk about health challenges in the community. The dialogue from these town halls will help shape the plans & vision for Nashville General Hospital. Nashville Reads

Nashvillians are invited to come together to celebrate reading, storytelling, history and art during Nashville Reads, the city’s annual reading campaign. This year’s selection is Between Shades of Gray, a bestselling book by local author Ruta Sepetys. Community Supported Agriculture Fair

This event is an opportunity to learn about CSA programs. Each participating farm will have a booth with photos of their farms, lists of the products they grow, how they grow and where they have their pickups. The Orchid Society of Middle Tennessee will be presenting a show and sale while hosting the Mid-America Orchid Congress spring meeting. Admission to the show and sale is free. Williamson County Democrats to Hold Biennial Convention

Officers will be elected to serve two-year terms. Positions are chair, vice chair, recording secretary and treasurer. Other ancillary positions and committee positions may be filled or appointed. The party will also review by-laws and discuss the 2015-16 party agenda. As many as 24 executive committee members, two each from each of the 12 voting districts in the county, will be selected. The party reorganization convention is open to all Williamson County Democrats. To participate, bring a valid photo ID and meet our credentialing committee standards.
