Chamber Midtown Quarterly Meeting
Chamber Midtown is the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s newest Area Advisory Council, formed to champion business prosperity in one of Nashville’s most thriving business districts. Nashville General Hospital Community Town Hall Meetings
Dr. Joseph Webb, chief executive officer of Nashville General Hospital (NHG) is holding community town halls over the next few months as part of his strategic planning process for the city’s community hospital. Located on the Meharry Medical College campus, NGH serves all residents of Nashville and Davidson County. These community-focused events are open to the public and will allow residents to ask questions, share concerns and talk about health challenges in the community. The dialogue from these town halls will help shape the plans & vision for Nashville General Hospital. Nashville Reads
Nashvillians are invited to come together to celebrate reading, storytelling, history and art during Nashville Reads, the city’s annual reading campaign. This year’s selection is Between Shades of Gray, a bestselling book by local author Ruta Sepetys. Mayor Karl Dean will join Sepetys, Nashville Public Library, the Nashville Public Library Foundation, Humanities Tennessee and Parnassus Books to kick off Nashville Reads at 10 a.m. at the Main Library, 615 Church St. Later, Dean will host a free book discussion, open to all, March 16, 6 p.m., at Bongo Java, 2007 Belmont Blvd. Information: www.nashvillereads.org.

Community Supported Agriculture Fair
This event is an opportunity to learn about CSA programs. Each participating farm will have a booth with photos of their farms, lists of the products they grow, how they grow and where they have their pickups. There are several different CSA models in the Nashville area and this will give the public a chance to find the one that is perfect for them and their families. Tennessee Capital Orchid Show
The Orchid Society of Middle Tennessee will be presenting a show and sale while hosting the Mid-America Orchid Congress spring meeting. Admission to the show and sale is free. The show will have more than 20 displays with an estimated 500 or more beautiful blooming orchids. Vendors will have a wide variety of blooming orchids for sale to the public. Williamson County Democrats to Hold Biennial Convention
Officers will be elected to serve two-year terms. Positions are chair, vice chair, recording secretary and treasurer. Other ancillary positions and committee positions may be filled or appointed. The party will also review by-laws and discuss the 2015-16 party agenda. As many as 24 executive committee members, two each from each of the 12 voting districts in the county, will be selected. The party reorganization convention is open to all Williamson County Democrats. To participate, bring a valid photo ID and meet our credentialing committee standards.
