Off the Clock- Business after Hours
Off the Clock is a networking event for business professionals offering the opportunity to discuss and share ideas while learning about other local businesses. For each event, a local nonprofit will be picked, and ticket sales to be donated. Your ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a beverage ticket. Postal Service Hiring Event
The United States Postal Service, in hopes of filling more than 600 positions in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, will host a job fair at 20 Midstate Post Office facilities, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Postal Service human resources personnel will be on-hand to assist with benefit, qualification, and application questions. Sumner County Irish Festival
The County Sumner Irish Festival is held at Bledsoe’s Fort Historical Park in Castalian Springs. The park is home to an authentic Irish cottage built by Hugh Rogan in the late 1790s, as well as a historic trail that runs alongside a settler cemetery and remnants of a 19th-century spring house. Live Irish music, food and fun create the perfect festive celebration. The event also includes guided hikes, storytelling, craft beer from Half Batch Brewing, historic house tours, children’s activities and food vendors. Wear your favorite Irish-themed attire to participate in the costume contest, pets included. No outside food or drinks. Admission: $10/vehicle. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Information
Cheatham County Democrats Biennial Reorganization Convention
All Democrats who are registered voters and live in Cheatham County are urged to attend and arrive early in order to complete credentials forms and socialize before start of meeting. Keynote speaker will be State Rep. Ronnie Glynn, followed by elections for a new executive committee, chair and other officers. In addition, food, beverages and entertainment will be provided.
