20th annual Education Report Card. For two decades, the Nashville Area Chamber has annually convened a diverse group of business and community representatives to evaluate the progress of Nashville’s public school system. Each year, the committee examines academic performance data from the previous school year and prepares a written report presenting findings and recommendations for improvement. This year’s report also will also take an in-depth look at the future role of charter schools. Stoned River Battlefield 150th Anniversary Bus Tour

Stones River National Battlefield will host a park ranger-led bus tour to key points of the Stones River campaign commemorating the 150^th anniversary of the Battle of Stones River. The tour, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., will begin at the visitor center. Tickets are $25 and include a boxed lunch. Reservations are required by Dec. 10.
