Understanding Muslim Societies

Dr. Richard Bulliet, professor of history, Columbia University, will be the featured speaker at the event, sponsored by the Tennessee World Affairs Council. CoLab Nashville Open House

CoLab Nashville, a downtown co-working space, will host an open house 5-7 p.m. at its facility, 230 4th Ave. N, Suite 105, to answer questions about co-working, showcase its members and introduce visitors to the trends. Murfreesboro Area Art Studio Tour

Like home or garden tours, the Studio Tour invites attendees into the artist’s workplace to visit, watch demonstrations and ask questions about their craft. Unlike the others, Art Tour visitors will also find unique gifts. Visitors will be able to see pottery formed and fired, metal forged into sculpture or shaped into jewelry, fiber woven and wood sculpted from Lascassas to near Woodbury and Bell Buckle. Franklin Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis
