People’s Law School

A free program that provides an overview of legal issues that a typical person might face. Taught by Legal Aid Society attorneys and volunteer attorneys, the weekly, one-hour classes will be held 6-7 p.m. on Wednesdays at Antioch High School, 1900 Hobson Pike, and on Thursdays at Cohn Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue. Nashville Jewish Film Festival

Nashville Recycles Day at BNA

Art for Inspiration

St. Matthew Church will host its eighth annual Art for Inspiration fine art show and sale Saturday, 6-9 p.m., and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The opening wine and cheese reception features local jazz quartet, VuDuGruv. This is an adult-only event with free childcare available. The featured artist this year is Thalia Kahl. More than 30 additional area artists are exhibiting their artwork including paintings, mixed media, pottery, jewelry and photography. St. Matthew is located at 535 Sneed Road in Franklin.
