Downtown Employee Appreciation Week. The week will be dedicated to celebrating the more than 55,000 downtown employees with a series of activities throughout the central business district. Coffee, food, prizes, music, games and more. To take advantage of these perks, please fasten a paper clip to your collar, lapel or pocket to receive giveaways and discounts. Work ID cards and business cards are also acceptable. Activities include:
Thursday: Corporate Tug of War. Corporate teams vie for the title of Downtown Nashville’s Tug of War Champion. The winning company scores a catered lunch from a downtown restaurant of their choice. Register (10 people required): www.nashvillesportsleagues.com/league.php?id=929
Friday: Foodie Friday. Get out of the office and eat at one of the 210+ downtown restaurants.

Musicians Corner
A series of free music events at Centennial Park. Events will take place from noon-5 p.m. on the 25th Avenue side of Centennial Park near the band shell. In addition to music, each date features Kidsville, a mix of Nashville’s best food trucks, Dogville, local artisans, featured charity partners and the Musicians Corner Pub. Dates and performers:
- Saturday, Oct. 10: Chasing Summer, Clinto Babers, DNK.
- Saturday, Oct. 17: No Musicians Corner event due to SoundHarvest Music Festival taking place in Centennial Park

Young Leaders Council 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner
Phil Bredesen, former Tennessee Governor and Nashville mayor, will be the featured speaker. Bredesen also is the author of “Fresh Medicine: How to Fix Reform and Build a Sustainable Health Care System” and is a frequent speaker to national audiences on health care, political leadership and other topics. Vanderbilt Hotel, 2100 West End Avenue. $60 for the dinner and program or $600 for a sponsorship table of 10. YP Nashville Connect
This after-hours networking event helps young professionals find where they can get connected and involved in the Nashville area.
