Hot Shots Hot Chicken, Whiskey and Bourbon Festival

The Nashville Predators Foundation’s second annual event will bring together Middle Tennessee’s best hot chicken restaurants and bourbon and whiskey from both locally and nationally known distilleries for a fun afternoon in support of the Nashville Predators Foundation. In addition to enjoying unlimited bourbon and whiskey tastings, guests will enjoy a Hot Shots Viewing Party as the Nashville Predators take on the Red Wings in Detroit. Two different ticket packages available: Hot Shots Food & Drink (includes chicken and unlimited whiskey and bourbon tastings, $70) and Hot Shots Food Only (includes chicken only, $50). Both packages include a complimentary water on the day of the event and a voucher for an Upper Bowl ticket to either the November 8 vs. Ottawa or November 10 vs. St. Louis games. Young Leaders Council Fall Leadership Luncheon

Cheekwood Halloween Pooch Parade

Dog owners and their pets are invited to participate in a Halloween costume parade in the Cheekwood gardens while also enjoying Cheekwood Harvest activities scheduled for 10 a.m. Additionally, guests are encouraged to bring pet items for donation to the Nashville Humane Association, including canned dog and cat food, towels or blankets and paper towels. Pooch Parade included with Cheekwood admission or membership. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations in order to participate. Nashville Symphony’s Free Day of Music

The community is invited to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to enjoy free musical performances all day long and into the night. The 11th annual Free Day of Music will feature more than 20 musical acts throughout the day on four stages performing classical, country, rock, jazz, world music and much more. Rock & Road Races

Join fellow runners for a race celebrating and supporting one of Nashville’s best trail and road running destinations! With a 5K, a relay marathon for teams of two or four runners, and the Cumberland Transit Crazy Owl full marathon, there’s an option for everyone. All the courses cover both trail (rock) and paved drives (road) in Percy Warner Park. Participants and spectators also get to enjoy the finish line party at the scenic Steeplechase Grandstands.
