Marijuana Education Day Activities

Keith Stroup, a Washington, D.C. attorney who founded the national advocacy group that favors legalization of marijuana, NORML, will be the featured speaker here at Marijuana Education Day activities on Saturday, Jan. 28. Stroup will speak on “Medical, Legal and Legislative Updates” at a lunch seminar, 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. “Dinner with Keith Stroup” begins at 7 p.m. Both events are at Sunset Grill. Watkins Interior Design Exhibit

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film presents its 15th annual Interior Design Student Exhibit, a juried show featuring works by Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design degree candidates in the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Gallery on campus. A reception and awards presentation will be held on Friday, January 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Currey Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. Admission is free. Deadline for Urban Land Institute awards

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Nashville is now accepting applications for its 4th Annual Excellence in Development Awards. All use types of development projects completed between 2004-present from the private, public and nonprofit sectors are eligible. Entries will be judged based on criteria that support ULI’s commitment to best practices in the use of land and leadership in creating sustainable communities. Information: nashville.uli.org.

The Nashville Chamber annually partners with 13 area universities in welcoming bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates, MBAs and alumni to two of the largest recruiting events in the region.
