Nashville Zoo Hosts Docent Open House

Nashville Zoo is hosting an open house for anyone interested in joining the Zoo’s docent program, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Zoo’s Croft Center. Docents are a specialized group of the Zoo’s volunteer corps committed to educating the public about the Zoo’s animals AND conservation and wildlife issues. Docents must volunteer a minimum of 80 hours a year, attend six training classes (beginning Feb. 7) and pay a one-time fee of $80 for uniform and training materials.
