24. Nashville music executive Donna Hilley dies - Friday, June 15, 2012
NASHVILLE (AP) - Donna Hilley, the former Sony/ATV Nashville president and CEO and a prominent female executive in country music, died on Wednesday from an extended illness, the company announced.
Hilley, from Birmingham, Ala., began her career at Nashville's WKDA radio station. She later joined Tree International, a top country music publishing company, which was bought by Sony in 1989.

27. Music Council gets new name, members - Friday, September 16, 2011
Mayor Karl Dean has announced that Music City Music Council (MC2) is the new name for the Nashville Music Council. The organization also has restructured to a more streamlined 21-member body to place a greater focus on economic development in the music industry.
