6. Pulling your house off the market? Get ready for phone calls -

As some houses are aging on the market, many homeowners are opting to withdraw them and await better times, change real estate brokers or retool their marketing plan with their current agents.

The onslaught of calls by those seeking listings is more than many homeowners could have imagined. One reason for this is that there are hundreds of companies calling Realtors each day offering to provide the Realtors with listing appointments. These services charge $199-$2,000 per month, and they arrange for these listing appointments by calling the owners of properties that have recently left the market.

7. Vanderbilt announces Hawkins Field enhancements -

Vanderbilt today revealed artistic renderings for major enhancements to Hawkins Field, home of two-time national champion Vanderbilt baseball.

Part of Vandy United’s recently announced Dare to Grow phase, the Hawkins Field initiative creates extensive premium seating opportunities, expands capacity and reimagines the game day experience for supporters of one of college baseball’s most successful programs.

9. Vanderbilt baseball heats up at right moment, ready for next ‘step’ -

Vanderbilt’s journey on the road back to the College World Series begins at home this weekend, while Lipscomb and Tennessee are both bound for the Clemson Regional.

The SEC Tournament champion Commodores (41-18) will host OVC Tournament champ Eastern Illinois Friday at 7 p.m., at Hawkins Field. In the double-elimination regional’s other opening game, Oregon (37-20) will face Xavier at noon.

10. VandyBoys riding high again -

The VandyBoys are back, once again playing up to the lofty standards of excellence that the program has achieved over the last two decades.

Subpar might not be the right word to describe the 2022 campaign for the Commodores – who reached the NCAA Tournament for the 16th consecutive year – but it certainly fell short of matching past successes. Vandy finished last year at 39-23 overall, going 14-16 in the Southeastern Conference and making early exits in both the A tourneys.

11. Vols carry ‘swagger’ of No. 1 seed into NCAA Tournament -

Given his status as a former All-American at Tennessee, Chris Burke expects to be asked questions about the Vols baseball team. But the level of interest this season has gone to another level.

In airports, at stadiums, in restaurants. Fans, coaches, players. Nearly everyone almost everywhere wants to talk about the Vols.

12. Commodores embrace rare NCAA postseason road trip -

Vanderbilt baseball coach Tim Corbin often talks about how much his team enjoys road trips. That’s a good attitude to have this time of year with a road trip to Oregon looming and the College World Series in Omaha serving as the ultimate destination.

13. It's his bag: Bradfield blazes trail as premier base stealer -

Enrique Bradfield Jr. has always been fast. That doesn't mean base stealing came naturally to him.

The Vanderbilt sophomore is widely regarded as the most exciting player in college baseball, his reputation burnished two weeks ago by his steal of home with his team down a run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning against Indiana State.

14. Top athletes finally cashing in on name, image, likeness change -

Scotty Pippen Jr., Donovan Sims and Uros Plavsic come from vastly different backgrounds but have this much in common: They all play college basketball in Tennessee and are among the hundreds of the state’s collegiate athletes – joined by thousands nationwide – that have taken advantage of the name, image, likeness (NIL) opportunities now afforded them.

15. Vanderbilt extends baseball coach Corbin's contract -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Vanderbilt has signed Tim Corbin to a contract extension going into his 20th season running the Commodores' baseball program.
