NEW YORK (AP) — Pop powerhouses, American classics, British artists and the estates of deceased legends — many musicians have objected to Donald Trump using their songs at campaign events.

After a video of Celine Dion performing her hit "My Heart Will Go On" was broadcast at a Trump campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana last weekend, the response from her team was swift.

Brian Masterson has joined Frost Brown Todd’s tax team as a partner.

MEMPHIS (AP) — Jim Stewart, the white Tennessee farm boy and fiddle player who co-founded the influential Stax Records with his sister in a Black, inner-city Memphis neighborhood and helped build the soulful "Memphis sound," has died at age 92.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Wearing a blue suit, black hat and multi-colored socks, master keyboardist Booker T. Jones leaned away from the Hammond B3 organ, tilted back his head and worked the keys and foot pedals as he played the funky and familiar hit "Green Onions" for a head-bobbing, toe-tapping crowd at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music.

MEMPHIS (AP) — James Alexander, the last surviving member of The Bar-Kays band that backed soul music star Otis Redding, will have a street renamed after him in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, Stax Museum said.

MEMPHIS (AP) — More than 21,000 new claims for unemployment benefits were filed in Tennessee last week, bringing the total number of jobless people who have sought government payouts during the new coronavirus outbreak to 600,000, state officials said Thursday.

16. Stax Museum to reopen in Memphis after coronavirus closure -

MEMPHIS (AP) — The Stax Museum of American Soul Music in Tennessee said it plans to reopen to the public after closing for three months due to the new coronavirus outbreak.

The Memphis museum said Wednesday that it will start welcoming visitors on June 18. It closed March 18 as officials in Memphis issued coronavirus-related safety orders that shuttered tourist destinations like Stax and Graceland.
